Photography tip of the day: When setting out to take pictures of waterfalls, wear rugged shoes. Don’t wear slippers/thongs — you might slip and fall…as I did when leaving this place.

A Lego forest popped up today in the outback town of Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia! Way too far from Sydney (13 hour drive) otherwise I’d be on my way there by now haha. (More pictures)

handcarryonly: Hi there, how do you get your images considered for stock at Getty? Any advise will be much appreciated. Adrian

The easiest way is probably the Getty-Flickr program, where you upload pictures onto Flickr and tag them properly so they can be found. Getty “curators” search Flickr and invite images that are suitable. Most of my images get in that way.

Getty also posts on Twitter what they need at the moment, and you can reply to the tweets with a link to a Flickr set: http://twitter.com/#!/gettyimageswant

Or you could apply via these links:

Friday Prayers at Jama Masjid on Flickr.
Rows of Muslim men bow in unison during mid-day prayers held every Friday in the courtyard of the Jama Masjid, Delhi’s largest and main mosque.
The courtyard can hold up to twenty-five thousand worshippers. It is heavily utilised every Friday when men around the capital congregate for Jumu’ah, otherwise simply known as Friday prayers. Muslims believe that a person who has gone to a Friday prayer will be forgiven of his sins over the past week.
